Whitney George is a certified physician assistant through the NCCPA. She was born and raised in a small town outside of Silver City, New Mexico. She graduated with honors from New Mexico State University with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. After graduating, she worked full-time as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist at a sleep center in Las Cruces, New Mexico. While working in sleep medicine, Whitney realized how much she enjoyed caring for patients and improving the quality of their lives and made the decision to continue her education and become a Physician Assistant (PA). She moved to Phoenix in 2019 to begin the Physician Assistants Program at Midwestern University. While in PA school, Whitney was able to gain clinical experience in multiple specialties including family medicine, internal medicine, psychiatry, women’s health, general surgery, pediatrics, emergency medicine, and ENT. During her clinical rotations, she realized her passion for primary care and caring for all aspects of a patient's health. She graduated with her Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies in August 2021.
Whitney supports patients taking an active role in their health care and believes in shared decision-making between practitioner and patient.
Whenever life offers the opportunity, Whitney enjoys spending her free time with her very spoiled dog, playing with her nieces and nephews, and riding horses with her parents.
